The .31 carat, Natural Grandidierite has vivid saturation and excellent clarity with no visible inclusions, and is a glowing neon blue-green color! Pictures have been magnified at 50x zoom to show details that may not be visible to the naked eye. Accenting the rare gemstone are 1.500mm round brilliant cut, and 3.00x1.50mm baguette cut natural Diamond accents (16 total) that are I color with VS1-VS2 clarity and weigh a combined total of .45 carats. The ring is clearly hallmarked 18K on the inside of the 2.50mm band. When worn, the top of the ring/stone is elevated about 6.50mm from the finger.

A rather rare mineral, lovely blue-green Grandidierite has a hardness of 7.5, which makes it very resistant to scratching and ideal for jewelry use. However, it also has perfect and good cleavage in two directions, which makes it challenging to cut so it is seldom seen in gem or jewelry collections because faceted pieces are very rare. While its scarcity has made the Grandidierite a relatively little-known gemstone, they display three different colors depending on the viewing angle: dark blue-green, colorless (sometimes very light yellow), or dark green, making this a rare gemstone that is sure to captivate and wow.
**Currently a size 6 ½ but could be sized, free of charge, by my master jeweler so that it is ready to be gifted or worn upon arrival! Most rings can be sized a maximum of 3-4 sizes up or down depending on the style of the ring. Please indicate your desired size at checkout and allow up to 10 business days for my local expert jeweler to complete sizing. I do not accept returns on items that have been custom sized or altered at your request so if you are unsure about an item, it may be best to have it sized by your local jeweler just in case.
